ABOUT LYDIA

As a Seneca woman of the Iroquois People located in Western New York, home is an hour south of Buffalo, but I’ve always found a way to explore wild country through expeditions, travel, and client work. My creative process is deeply rooted in the belief that one of the greatest adventures we can explore is through knowing our ancestral stories. Whether personal or a business brand, every narrative is worth its’ weight in discovery.

I have led or participated in shoots and outdoor adventures across Africa, New Zealand, Iceland, Scotland, Ireland, England, Israel, Mexico, The Virgin Islands, US, and Norway to name a few locations. I have also collaborated with the Seneca, Tuscarora, Navajo, Mohawk, and Hopi tribes in recent years through portrait work and my ongoing personal photo project called Our Sacred, a series where we explore the meaning of the word sacred. From youth to adulthood our people have been taught traditions and cultural expression, we document this translation throughout lifestyle and the spiritual impact this has on each participant.

I have woven my deep love for the human experience into photography work as a visual diary for brand storytelling. Every brand, campaign, and project has its’ unique character to unpack through my process of communication to creation.

When I’m not traveling or working, you’ll find me at home with my husband on the Cattauraugus Indian Reservation and in Buffalo, NY.
